About the Artwork
King is part of Lines of Transformation, Silvia Pusceddu's signature collection exploring movement, connection, and the unseen structures that shape human experience.
Created through an intuitive process of line, colour, and rhythm, the composition transforms a deeply emotional experience into a contemporary visual language of strength, resilience, and quiet reflection. Inspired by the image of a Lion whose dignity was sacrificed for spectacle, the work moves beyond representation to explore universal themes of power, vulnerability, and humanity.
Rather than illustrating a narrative, King invites viewers to reflect on the balance between authority and compassion, reminding us that true strength is measured not by domination, but by integrity.

To preserve its rarity and long-term collector value, King is released as a strictly limited edition of 50 Collector's Editions worldwide.
Each edition is individually numbered and produced using museum-quality giclée printing on 100% cotton canvas with archival pigment inks, ensuring exceptional colour accuracy, longevity, and fine art reproduction standards.
Every Collector's Edition is presented in Silvia Pusceddu's signature thin black floating frame, conceived as the final architectural element that completes the artwork's visual presence.

Edition Closure
Once all 50 Collector's Editions have been acquired, King will be permanently retired from production.
No further editions will be created, preserving the rarity and long-term exclusivity of every piece.
Provenance & Exhibition History
The original artwork, Acrylic on Cotton Canvas (140 × 140 cm, 2025), was selected for the ITSLIQUID International Art Fair, Rome (2025). Collector's Editions of the work were subsequently presented in London, where the artwork received the Award of Excellence in Figurative Art at the Women in Art Biennale (2025).
King forms part of Silvia Pusceddu's internationally exhibited practice and is represented by Artio Gallery (Toronto) and featured on Artsy, contributing to its documented international exhibition history.
